Hello fellow learners! I am Dr. Farhan Q, M.D, an international medical graduate pursuing Internal Medicine in the US.

I have always enjoyed tutoring my friends, batchmates, and juniors during the course of my medical journey so far. How beautiful it is to share acquired knowledge with others! My tutoring approach is based on understanding concepts. Helping students understand their areas of weakness and working with them to discover ways to strengthen those areas. Particularly in terms of testing learning smart is as important as memorizing information. During our session, tips and tricks, as well as test-taking skills that will help you succeed in exams will be discussed. The best way of learning is interactive learning and I assure you that throughout our session you will be continuously questioned by me in order to identify your weakness and master the topic with ease. My teaching plan is completely student-oriented.

I have successfully cleared my USMLE Step1 and currently preparing for USMLE Step 2 CK. With the vast amount of clinical experience and basic knowledge required for USMLE as well as being aware of the type/pattern of questions that appear in Step1 exams, I have been tutoring with great ease and confidence. My approach is to give a detailed review of First Aid Page by Page, answering questions/concepts regarding the "what, where, how, and why" type of questions for every topic/disease/syndromes or process along the chapters as I move along with students.
My strongest areas of teaching are - Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Cardiology, Hematology, General pathology, Endocrinology, and Rheumatology. For USMLE Step 1 - My recommended book will be First Aid and the question bank will be Uworld. My ultimate goal is to help my students understand concepts and be confident with the topics we discussed.

If you are having difficulty understanding any topics from the above-mentioned subjects for your college tests, med school, or step exams it will be my pleasure to help you out through this

Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I gave my USMLE Step 1 and had a higher performance in pharmacology in my Step 1 score report. My focus in pharmacology is as a Medical Graduate and MD, hence Drugs/Medications with their adverse effects, their working or mechanisms of actions, indications and contraindications are part of my knowledge that I impart onto my students with easy ways of understanding. I have years of experience in tutoring nursing school students and Med school students at different levels-high school, college and Med school hence, it's not hard for me to tutor every student with ease. My approach to teaching pharmacology is based on these grouping and learning drugs based on these criteria. However each student approaches the learning of drug names and effects in different ways and my first step is to figure out the best learning method for each pharmacology student.
USMLE

USMLE

I am a Medical graduate and an International M.D currently studying for my USMLE STEP 2 CK. I had given my USMLE Step 1 and received a higher performance on my score report for most of the higher subjects particularly Pharmacology, pathology, Biochemistry and Microbiology. With the vast amount of clinical and basic knowledge required for USMLE as well as being aware of the type/pattern of questions that students face in their Step 1 exams, I have been tutoring many students with great ease and confidence. My approach is to give a detailed review of First Aid Page by Page, answering questions/concepts regarding the "what, where, how, and why" type of questions for every topic/disease/syndromes or process along the chapters as I move along with student.
