Bio

Hi there! My name is Karla. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Special Education with a reading concentration in 2014. I have been a teacher in the metro area for the last nine years. In 2018, I graduated with my MEd in Teaching English as a second language (ESOL). I am certified in the state of Georgia in English Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies, ESOL, and gifted education. I will graduate with my specialist degree in Instructional Technology in May 2023.

My favorite aspect of working with children is the moment they understand something they have been struggling with. I like to call these, "Aha" moments. As an educator, that is the best feeling.
