My name is Sarah and I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems. However, I've always loved English. I love to read fiction and write in my spare time. I currently live in Orlando, Florida and work at Epcot at Walt Disney World. My dream is to someday travel the world.

In high school I tutored Chemistry one on one and in groups. In college I tutored one on one online and helped proofread and edit essays for flow, consistency, grammar, spelling and structure. My teaching style is to help the student and focus on their needs. Therefore, I always ask the student first what aspects of English do they need help with. Then, we go from there to figure out together what best would suit their needs and how many sessions we will need. The thing I love most about tutoring is seeing the student succeed and feel confident in their writing, reading and speaking skills.

I have a TEFL certificate to teach English to ESL students and I have experience teaching English online on Cambly. I also have a lot of experience doing private tutoring one on one tutoring. I have experience helping students with proofreading and editing their essays and explaining concepts like using the correct verb tense. I have experience teaching students how to use reading comprehension to improve their reading skills and how to become a better writer by improving their writing skills.

My goal is to make learning English as easy and as simple as possible. I understand that learning a new language can be difficult but I want both my ESL and non ESL students to have the confidence to speak and write well in English. Even if English is your native language, you're not gonna be perfect at everything. I'm here to help you improve your written and spoken English skills.
