I have extensive experience breaking down complex topics into manageable chunks and I am adept at working with all types of learners. I regularly work with students who have IEPs and 504s. I use differentiation and recognize that not everyone learns the same. I stand by and craft my tutoring according to current mathematics research which holds that learning mathematics is developmental, meaning that not all Freshman are ready for Algebra 1 (for example) simply because of their age or grade. This means that very smart students can struggle, but I can help them. My goal is to build-up and preserve a love of math, so students are able to achieve their goals, even if it is difficult.
