Hi, my name is Ashlee I am an emergency room Charge nurse and have been working in the emergency room for the last seven years. I work in an emergency department that treats both pediatric and adult patients. I’ve also worked in pediatric hematology-oncology, adult transplant, and as an IVF coordinator at a fertility clinic. I am certified in PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NRP. I have my bachelors in nursing and I am working on my masters in nursing education. I enjoy precepting new grad, nurses new on boarding, nurses and nurses that are transitioning from the floor to the emergency department. I also teach the triage class utilizing ESI for my unit. My favorite subjects to teach are Anatomy and physiology with the circulatory system and the endocrine system being my favorites
. I love teaching nursing courses, especially pharmacology and medication math. When I’m teaching, I like to understand how you learn. Auditory visual a combination of both. I like to get on your level so that I can explain this information as simply and succinctly as possible. My goal is to help you truly understand what you’re learning instead of just memorizing facts. I recently had my daughter this past December and I’m looking for more opportunities to use my nursing license and my expertise while I work from home while I finish my masters in nursing education. teaching is something that has always come naturally to me so I hope that you’ll let me be a part of your journey to becoming the nurse that you want to be.
