Ballroom Dancing

I have been dancing Salsa in my heart all my life. My body has learned and relearned it with hundreds of partners over many years--from my early twenties up until now. I dance on one and two. I find that every time I dance with a new partner is an opportunity to express myself as a new being in a union that can never be duplicated. Even dancing with the same partner is different every time. The music is all that you need. A teacher is always a student; and every student can teach with the language that is unique to each and every one of us. I have studied the Afro-Brazilian martial art Capoeira Angola; and Soaring Crane, a form of Chinese chigong practice. I love dance of all forms.

English

My 18 plus years teaching of English; TEFL certificate; and Bachelor's degree make me more than qualified.

ESL/ESOL

I graduated from Queens College where I majored in Chinese and minored in Japanese, Arabic, and Korean. I was an English tutor in South Korea for over six years. I help my students with English conversation and pronunciation, reading comprehension and writing.

Korean

I studied Korean at Seoul National University for two years. I lived in the Republic of Korea for over six years. I am moderately fluent in the language. Although I am not a native speaker I feel I can readily teach the basics.

I’ve used MSW and many other suites to create and edit countless documents for school and work.

Reading

I was an English teacher in South Korea for over six years; and now I'm a Chinese and Linguistics major at Queens College in my senior year.

TOEFL

I have over six years of experience as teacher in South Korea and Japan; two years as a tutor and teacher aide in the Queensborough Community College CUNY Language Immersion Program; and have been a private tutor and interpreter for more than a few years in the U.S.

Writing

I have just completed 149 credits as linguistic student at Queens College. I have been working as an ESL teacher for almost 20 years in the U. S. and overseas. I love the literary worlds of all genres.
