Learning the foundational skills for life can be hard work for children and parents! My passion is supporting students in finding academic and life success with personalized tutoring and coaching. I work with students in grades K-5 on improving foundational reading, math, and writing skills. I also assist students in grades K-12 on improving executive functioning skills such as study skills, test taking, academic self advocacy, and emotional regulation within academic settings. I have specialty training and experience working with students with learning differences like dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and specific learning disabilities. I focus on solutions and problem solving that involve the student and parent with a focus on data collection to ensure time and resources are as effective and efficient as possible.

I have been a teacher for over 16 exciting years! I have worked across public, private, virtual school, general education, special education and homeschool environments and am familiar with the intricacies of each setting. I am currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst consulting in public schools as well as a certified Dyslexia practitioner for an Orton Gillingham program. I am also a former certified Special Education Teacher in grades K-12 and in Elementary Education. I love working with children and teens! I work hard to find out what their interests are and how best to bring a love of learning to each session. I have an undergraduate degree from Florida State University in Psychology, a Master’s degree from the University of South Florida in Curriculum and Instruction and post-graduate training in Applied Behavior Analysis. I use direct instruction, fluency measures, and data collection and analysis to determine specific teaching procedures for each student.

I look forward to working with you to find solutions to academic problems!

I am currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and former Special Education Teacher with 16 years of classroom experience supporting students K-12 with ADHD and other Executive Functioning difficulties. I work hard to make sure students understand the origin of some of the difficulties they face and set up experiences to learn skills to accommodate individual needs. I love teaching time management, emotional regulation, and study skills to name a few key areas of executive functioning support. My goal is for the student and family to understand their strengths to support their weaknesses.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with 6 years of experience. I have in depth training in working with Autistic students (Identity First Language) across K-12 private, public, and homeschool environments. I work hard to understand the greater Autistic and Autism community as well and focus on teaching assent, consent, self direction and self advocacy across all academic experiences. I involve parents and caregivers as much as possible to support generalizing skills across settings. I use academic teaching methods like direct instruction, repetition, effective prompting, and data collection that supports academic skill acquisition. Most importantly, working with neurodiverse individuals is a passion of mine and I work hard to ensure students are comfortable and happy as they are learning.
