Hi there! My name is Stephanie Bellido, and I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Pre-Health Studies, completing my program in just three years with Dean’s List honors. During my time at NSU, I earned A+ grades in Organic Chemistry I and II, Biology I and II, Psychology, Genetics, and more! In addition to my coursework, I served as a Student Instructor (SI) for Biology II for 2.5 years, where I led weekly review sessions and helped students deepen their understanding of complex biological concepts.
Throughout my undergraduate years, I also volunteered as a tutor at NSU’s Tutoring and Testing Center, where I helped students improve their performance in biology, chemistry, and related science courses. Over 98% of the students I worked with saw an improvement in their respective grades, and many achieved A’s in subjects they previously struggled with. As a bilingual tutor in English and Spanish, I am able to assist a wider range of students and explain challenging concepts in whichever language feels most comfortable for them. These experiences taught me how to tailor my tutoring style to meet different learning needs, whether students needed help grasping tough topics, preparing for exams, or building better study habits. My approach is patient, energetic, and highly adaptable, focusing on active learning strategies like practice recall, real-world examples, and visual aids.
Teaching is a true passion for me and comes naturally. I genuinely love helping students discover their potential. I create a positive, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome and mistakes are viewed as valuable learning opportunities. My goal is not just to help students pass one class but to help them build real mastery and lasting academic skills. If you are looking for a tutor who is passionate about science and ready to help you reach your highest academic goals, I would love to work together!
