Bio

I have Permanent Secondary Mathematics (High School) Certification issued by the State of New York.
Also, I taught Physics to college bound high school juniors and seniors.
From a non-formal teaching perspective, I have taught sales training classes both "in house" and "in the field". In addition, I hold a co-patent for a medical device.

I have always taught. In the classroom, I taught College bound students Physics, Algebra, and Trig. In Junior College, I taught Elementary Statistics. In the medical field, I taught salespeople how to related to customers by providing them the tools to be relevant to a customer and/or prospect. I emphasize that this latter experience was indeed teaching at the most practical level.

Yes, I am an older person, but the lessons I learned, both formally and informally, contain a life-time of experiences that can be conveyed. In addition, formal subjects, like Physics and Math, I have not forgotten. Remembering them is like riding a bicycle; you never forget them if you learned them properly. I did. I can provide prospective students with this same understanding.

My formal and practical background is relevant and useful. Also, I do not emphasize learning facts but do provide a means of learning concepts that are easy to understand for a student to be successful.

If you wish to have a nuclear physicist teach you, I am not that person. If you wish to have an engineer teach you, in a mono-tone voice, I am not that person. If you wish to have a person that has a multidisciplinary approach to learning, using YouTube, when applicable, using Cross-link (connecting computer to computer), when applicable, Excel, person-to-person teaching, etc., then perhaps I am that person for you.

I have practical knowledge working with individuals to develop their potential in the medical device industry, an industry that is ever changing but fascinating and engaging. I consult with many of my former reports and distributors on an informal basis even after twenty years after we worked tog

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I am New York State Permanently Certified to teach Secondary Mathematics (high school). I attended SUNY Brockport. Also, I have degrees in Electrical Engineering where Algebra was the basis for nearly all course work, so my knowledge of practical applications of Algebra provides an additional perspective to learning. In addition, my approach is to learn concepts, that provide a life-long understanding, rather than to memorize formulas.
Algebra 2

Physics

Physics

Even though I am New York State Permanently Certified to teach Secondary Mathematics (high school), I taught NYS Regents Physics to college bound high school juniors and seniors. I attended SUNY Brockport. I have degrees in Electrical Engineering where Physics (electro statics) was the basis for understanding. My approach to teaching is to learn concepts, that provide a life-long understanding, rather than to memorize formulas.
