Hello,
Hello, my name is Sergio. I am a fashion designer, tailor, patternmaker, and apparel product developer with over 10 years of hands-on experience in garment construction, patternmaking, fittings, alterations, embroidery, and sample development.
I have worked across retail tailoring, designer fashion, costume production, private-label apparel, and custom garment development. My experience includes work with Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Levi’s, Muji, Royal Caribbean, Rail Events Productions, and internships with Anna Sui and Rachel Comey.
I teach sewing and patternmaking in a practical, student-centered way. Every student learns differently, so I begin by understanding your current skill level, your goals, and the types of garments you want to make. From there, I help you build clear technical foundations in measuring, drafting, fit, fabric behavior, construction order, and garment correction.
Subjects I can help with include:
Beginner to intermediate sewing
Patternmaking and drafting
Draping basics
Garment construction
Fit corrections and alterations
Menswear and tailoring basics
Fashion design development
Tech packs and apparel production basics
Digital patternmaking concepts
Whether you are starting from scratch, refining your sewing skills, or trying to move from “making it up as you go” into more structured patternmaking, I can help you build a clear process.
