Hi, my name is Howard, and I enjoy helping students succeed in their math and science classes. I started tutoring professionally in 2010 while completing my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida and graduated magna cum laude in 2012.

Hi, my name is Howard, and I enjoy helping students succeed in their math and science classes. I started tutoring professionally in 2010 while completing my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida and graduated magna cum laude in 2012.

When I first meet with students, I diagnose the concepts they don't understand and the stumbling blocks in their problem-solving process. After understanding their needs more fully, I then explain the math or science concepts by relating them to something the students already understand from their background knowledge in other subjects. By using their background knowledge, this facilitates quicker understanding.

I love teaching new strategies to students and helping them grasp their subject matter. My methods leave students feeling more confident after each session and ready to apply the learned knowledge in their future school work.

Howard’s is very knowledgeable, patient, well-prepared, and flexible. He patiently communicates with us to narrow down on which subject needs to be tackled first in order to move to a next subject. My daughter has a better understanding on the subjects that she currently struggles. Thank you!

Howard was an awesome tutor. He explained the topics well and made it easy to understand. He used different colored pens to present the lesson clearly. I told him that I took Chemistry I years ago and barely can remember anything. He was very patient along the way and was able to help me on my Chemistry II topics. Now I have notes.

Awesome tutor choice.

My 7th grader was several weeks behind in his Pre Algebra class and starting to feel he would never catch up. Two sessions later my child feels he will be caught up by this weekend and able to take a makeup next week. I know my child is engaged and learning because he is looking forward to more sessions and not arguing about having to practice what Howard has recommended. Meeting Howard in person for sessions has also helped my child decide that doing online sessions with Howard will be cool too!
