Hi, I'm Dario. I am a philosophy major at Lehigh University, where I focus in logic.
I have experience tutoring both classes and individuals in geometry, algebra, and various branches of logic, including Aristotelian, propositional/sentential, and predicate logic. In geometry, I've designed and delivered lectures, presentations, and homework assignments. As a TA for formal logic, I led independent group and individual tutoring sessions aimed both at teaching core concepts, completing homework assignments, and passing exams, often spending dozens of hours tutoring students outside of assigned office hours.
My Tutoring Approach:
For students interested in building a strong foundation or getting ahead, I use a bottom-up strategy where I ensure the student understands exactly what it is they are doing and how to succeed in doing so. I primarily teach through diagrams and practice questions, each targeted at either learning new information or applying previous information to new areas.
For students focused on exams or assignments, I first take time to understand your strengths and gaps. From there, we focus on the types of problems you're likely to encounter and develop effective strategies to solve them.
Whether you're looking to deepen your understanding or simply pass your next test, I'm excited to help you learn and understand tricky math and logic problems!
