Hello Students,
My name is Professor Paul, and I have over 20 years of experience teaching at the college level. I began my career as a pharmacist and after a decade of filling prescriptions, I decided to become a massage therapist. The massage school was impressed with my background and asked me to tutor students; eventually I became a faculty member in their science department. I enjoyed teaching so much that I returned to school to earn a master's degree in biology. I have taught at various institutions (six total) as an adjunct instructor since 2004. I can tutor for basic biology, zoology, microbiology and pharmacology (I usually teach pre-nursing majors), but my specialty is anatomy and physiology.

I have taught students 18 years of age and older (some older than myself!), but I can also teach high school students-in fact, I would like to return to my high school alma mater next year as an instructor--they are planning to become co-ed and will need more science instructors as their enrollment will increase substantially.
I initially started my teaching career in a volunteer role at the massage school I attended. I was in their teacher training program for nearly 2 and 1/2 years before becoming a faculty member. During that time, I instructed students in one-on-one settings and was responsible for conducting study groups for science courses (Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Pathology).

I have continued to tutor students once I transitioned to the college setting and frequently help those experiencing difficulties with the material. I often rely on my personal course power points when I conduct sessions
I would request, if possible, to give me a message 3 hours in advance if you plan on cancelling a session. I tend to prefer online sessions in Zoom or Webex, and I have been certified for online instruction by the Connecticut Community College System. I like to work late at night and would not have a problem scheduling sessions with students on the west coast.
