Hi, I'm Seth! I graduated Magna Cum Laude as an Honors Scholar with a degree in Physics and Mathematics and a minor in Astronomy. I am pursuing a PhD in Physics at George Washington University, where I study High-Energy Astrophysics. I have also been a teaching assistant here for Physics classes over the past 2 years, and have been tutoring in Math and Physics on Wyzant since June 2021.

In all of my years as a student, I have learned the importance of quality instruction and its impact on a student's learning experience. A quality instructor is, of course, knowledgeable in the subject, but must also show enthusiasm and be able to engage each student's individual learning style. This is why one of my main goals as a tutor is to share my excitement about a topic so that the student is fully engaged in the learning experience. Private tutoring also gives me the opportunity to cater my lessons to each student's individual learning style and background.

I have a year and a half's worth of experience tutoring at The Learning Center at Central Connecticut State University. The majority of my time in this role was spent tutoring students in a wide variety of introductory and advanced level Math courses. I have also studied extensively for and taken the GRE General Test.

In my time as the President of the Physics Club one of our main priorities was offering Physics tutoring through the club. I participated as one of the tutors for two years, where I tutored subjects such as Physics 1, Physics 2, Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism, Heat & Thermodynamics, and Optics. I also tutored these subjects in my time at The Learning Center.

I look forward to meeting each of my tutees, and can't wait to help in any way that I can! I welcome any suggestions or resources that students or parents can offer, as providing the best-personalized experience for each individual is my top priority. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or to schedule a meeting!

Great at Explaining

I learned more in an hour than in the first 6 weeks of school! He explained very well and was very patient.

Good tutor for high school level kids

My son is happy with the tutor. He is able to understand concepts easily. Will schedule another lesson this week depending on my son’s need. Thanks for setting up a platform to interact with tutor directly.

Knowledgeable, patient, understanding

Seth is a great tutor. He is knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. I took calculous 1 seven years ago and Seth took the time to explain some of the basics stuff. I know I did ask some very basic questions but he took the time to explain them to me. Now, I better understand what my teacher taught the first week of Calc 2. I'm going to meet him every week to go over the weeks material.
