I’m a full-time high school science teacher with experience teaching Biology, Physics, Genetics, Human Evolution, Climate Science, and other Life Science courses. I currently teach at a school specifically designed for students with ADHD and dyslexia, where I’ve developed a student-centered, flexible approach that helps every learner find success. I hold a degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Connecticut, and I’ve led project-based, interdisciplinary courses that connect science to the real world.
I’ve worked with students one-on-one and in small group settings, both in person and online. My tutoring style is calm, encouraging, and adaptive. I emphasize clarity, confidence-building, and curiosity. If a student doesn't understand something one way, I’ll try another. I incorporate visuals, analogies, active recall, and problem-solving techniques to help students not only learn but retain material. I'm especially experienced in supporting students who have had negative experiences with traditional science instruction and helping them re-engage with the subject in a positive, empowering way.
Whether you're preparing for an exam, catching up in a class, or looking to deepen your understanding, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward. I truly believe that with the right support, every student can thrive in science.
