Are you currently feeling the pressure of a standardized test that will determine your future and admittance to your number one choice? Have you ever labeled yourself "a horrible test-taker?" After we work together, you will walk in with confidence (one of the biggest factors in my opinion) and pass on your first try. Are you currently feeling the pressure of a standardized test that will determine your future and admittance to your number one choice? Have you ever labeled yourself "a horrible test-taker?" After we work together, you will walk in with confidence (one of the biggest factors in my opinion) and pass on your first try. I typically offer my first lesson for only $20 to see if we are a good fit for each other and then move forward from there.
I specialize in tutoring for various standardized tests, but I work primarily with students taking the CSET and/or CBEST. I have been tutoring clients on these exams for approximately 5 years now and nearly all of my students have passed on his or her first attempt.
I focus on how to take the test itself. By this I mean that you will immediately be able to identify the question type and approach it with very specific strategies, thus enabling you to eliminate 2 incorrect answers immediately so you've got nearly a 50/50 when you're stuck. The test-makers are very rigid and predictable and this works to your advantage when you have the necessary tools. This also saves you time which is critical on the CSET especially. The constructed responses are no different - you simply learn the formula the test graders are looking for, (even if you are unsure of the actual answer), and you will automatically get at least half credit, which can be the difference between passing and failing.
About Me: I am a credentialed Special Education teacher with a B.S. in Neuroscience, MBA and Master's in Education. Because of that variety of collegiate experience, I have taken more standardized tests than any one person should have to endure. My greatest expertise is with the the CBEST, CSET (multiple subject), RICA and GMAT. I am particularly strong in the English/Verbal sections.
