Hello! My name is Jennifer, and this is my 20th year teaching 2nd and 3rd grade students. I am proud to have been inducted into the Teachers Rock Wall of Fame in 2012 and honored as Teacher of the Year in 2011. These recognitions reflect my dedication to helping students succeed and develop confidence in their learning. I currently teach 2nd grade in East Los Angeles, where I use the Fishtank curriculum alongside DIBELS and Open Court phonics curriculum. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching students grow in confidence as they blend sounds, decode words, and develop strong, fluent reading skills. My passion is helping children develop a love of reading, writing, and learning.
