Hi, I'm Brandt. I graduated summa cum laude with a BS degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology in 2013. I continued my education and earned my PhD in Cell Biology in 2019 (ask me about fruit flies and cell division!). Hi, I'm Brandt. I graduated summa cum laude with a BS degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology in 2013. I continued my education and earned my PhD in Cell Biology in 2019 (ask me about fruit flies and cell division!). During my time as an undergraduate and graduate student, I learned there is a big gap between what is taught in large lectures and what is actually learned by individual students. I believe 1-on-1 teaching is the most effective way to fill that gap. As a tutor in college and a teaching assistant in graduate school, I developed teaching methods based in active learning and problem-solving that allow students to apply the material they learn in a judgement-free zone with expert guidance. One of the biggest joys of my career thus far has been seeing students using these methods achieve the success they desire.
I want to reach new high school and college students and help them learn biology. As of right now, I am only accepting online tutoring appointments. I look forward to working with you!
