I have a passion for teaching so I'm willing to put the time in to make extra problem sets, come up with fun learning activities, and make available any other materials necessary for my students to succeed!
I have two younger siblings, aged 8 and 16, so I have many years of experience working with and effectively communicating with children of all ages. In high school I was in a STEM outreach club that taught science to local 5th graders through simple yet fun labs. In my undergraduate degree I participated in UCSB's Physics Circus, a Physics outreach program which hosts science nights and zoom presentations with local elementary and middle school classes. During that time I worked as a Noyce COASTAL intern, where I worked directly with the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy teaching in their physics classroom and collaborating with students in the machine shop. I also worked with MOXI, Santa Barbara's interactive science museum, to develop a new set of physics lab-based curriculum for the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Currently I am also a private tutor to families in the Santa Barbara and Montecito, California area. I have tutored on-site at the Riviera Ridge Elementary and Middle Schools along with the Bishop Garcia Diego High School. I did my undergraduate degree in Physics at UCSB, and have stayed on to complete my Phd in Physics. I specialize in high energy particle physics and am always excited to chat about it!
