I received my B.S. in Biology with a minor in Soil Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2023, where I completed extensive coursework in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, botany, environmental sciences, geology, physics, math, and statistics.
Since graduating, I have worked in multiple plant biology research laboratories and gained hands-on experience with experimental design, molecular biology techniques, data analysis, and scientific communication. Alongside my research, I have been deeply involved in K–12 STEM outreach, teaching basic biology and molecular mechanisms to elementary and middle school students through hands-on demonstrations and after-school programs.
I am now pursuing my PhD in Plant Biology at UC Davis and work with local schools to facilitate after school science lessons. I have experience working with students ages 10–15, as well as high school and college-level learners.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and focused on building true understanding through pre-made practice questions that I will work through with students, and give extra practice after sessions. I enjoy helping students gain confidence in science, whether they need help with homework, exam prep, writing, or understanding complex concepts.
