Hello my name is Andrew and I am a recent UC Davis graduate with a BS in applied physics, concentrating in physical electronics. I am very excited at the opportunity to help other students at the high school and college level. Although I majored in applied physics, I have experience tutoring other subjects such as circuits and calculus.
Throughout my academic journey, I became a tutor for UC Davis through the Academic Assistance and Tutoring Center (AATC), where I spent over 2 years helping fellow UC Davis students. Throughout my final year with AATC, I was also the Head Subject Tutor for Physics, which required me to not only continue tutoring students, but also mentor fellow physics tutors by hosting meetings and also individual feedback sessions.
I believe tutoring is not only about getting the right answer, but also learning how to develop intuition, general problem solving strategies, and good study habits that promote success in the future. I strive to help others by sharing all the knowledge that I have.
I am currently a MS student at UC Davis studying electrical and computer engineering
