I am a doctor of physical therapy who loves to help others learn! I began my tutoring journey in high school where I tutored ESL students all four years and sciences my senior year. In college, I tutored anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise physiology. As a graduate student, I worked as an anatomy graduate assistant and tutored in multiple classes, including pathokinesiology, anatomy, pathophysiology, research statistics, and other DPT classes.

As a tutor, I love seeing those I work with not only excel, but develop a deeper understanding of the material. I like to bring concepts to life in a more practical sense, using examples and teach-back-methods to assess current levels of understanding. I like to tutor according to the learning style of the person I am working with and appreciate in time feedback regarding the effectiveness of the tutoring method as it pertains to their learning. I like to establish goals with my clients and formulate a plan on how to meet those goals together!
I have tutored anatomy and physiology at the high school, collegiate, and graduate level. I typically have raised my clients' grades by 2 letters. I confirm my clients understanding of the material by using a teach-back-method. I ask for feedback regarding my techniques during the session.

I have received education in teaching people with learning disabilities as part of my physical therapy education. I also have taken courses regarding adapting physical education for those with learning difficulties and am familiar with IDEA and IEP. I like to determine my client's learning style in order to better meet their educational needs.

I am excited to work with you to help you achieve your educational goals! Don't be shy, reach out to me and schedule a lesson!
