As an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley currently conducting undergraduate research on AI and deep learning and the field's application to modern Engineering problems (which I will present at the 2025 EMI conference), along with haven taken numerous rigorous classes offered at the university to back up my mastery and understanding of AI, I believe I am the perfect tutor for Wyzant. Deep learning is undoubtedly the future and in the next coming years will be a field that every student will have to understand to get an advantage in life.
Previously, I worked as a lead mathematics tutor at the Russian School of Mathematics in Campbell, primarily tutoring kids in grades 6 - 12. I prioritize developing a genuine relationship with my students and developing an actual care for their studies and personal life. I bond with my students over our shared interests, most commonly sport, hobbies, and future plans. My approach to tutoring is very much centered around testing the students' knowledge through personal work and letting the student come to their own - what I like to call "Aha" moments of realization for the student to develop actual interest in the subject. I believe that my role and 2 years of experience tutoring at RSM gives me the right experience for this role.
Every tutor should have a genuine interest in what they are tutoring - as for me I plan to teach ML and AI to my students as that is what I have genuine interest for and plan to do for the rest of my professional career. I hold firm my belief that AI is a great equalizer and grants the same education and information to everyone around the world - promoting equality; I think that is such a beautiful thing, really developing my passion for the field. I teach AI through a very math centered approach since the underlying theory behind what I consider to be the future of big tech is just math. This approach and my desire to understand the students' needs makes me the perfect candidate for Wyzant.
