Hi! I’m Jamie C., a recent UCLA graduate in Sociology with a minor in Education, currently finishing a second degree in Data Analytics—graduating this December with a 4.0 GPA and Dean’s List honors.
I graduated a year early from UCLA, thanks to about 30 AP credits earned at Troy High School, where I took AP Computer Science Principles, European History, U.S. History, Calculus AB, Psychology, and Environmental Science—earning 4s and 5s on all.
I’ve been tutoring since high school through clubs, nonprofits, academies, and private lessons, working with students from elementary to high school. I’m currently tutoring Algebra 2 and AP European History, and specialize in elementary subjects, study and organizational skills, Algebra 1 & 2, AP History (European & U.S.), AP Psychology & Environmental Science, and college application prep (with students accepted to UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, and more).
Over the years, I’ve developed strong organizational, time management, and study skills, and I take pride in helping students build these habits to stay on top of their work and become independent learners.
My approach focuses on true understanding—not just memorization—so students leave sessions confident and ready for what’s next. I’m flexible, approachable, and encourage questions anytime, even between sessions. To maximize our time, I ask that students send assignments or study materials a few hours before tutoring, and provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
