I earned my undergraduate degree from Northern Michigan University, where I double-majored in Biochemistry and Spanish. During my studies, I served as a teaching assistant and tutor in anatomy & physiology, microbiology, physiology, organic chemistry, general chemistry, and physics. These experiences taught me how to explain challenging material in a clear and approachable way. After graduation, I applied to the Central Michigan University M.D. program and scored in the 97th percentile on MCAT practice exams. That success motivated me to begin tutoring others in 2019, and I quickly developed a passion for helping students succeed on their journeys to medical school.

Over the past six years, I have worked with more than 300 students, many of whom were accepted into highly competitive medical schools such as Stanford, University of Michigan, Michigan State, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, and others across the country. Beyond MCAT content tutoring, I also provide medical school admissions guidance, including help with personal statements, application strategy, and advising on clinical and volunteer experiences. I always begin with a consultation to ensure that I understand each student’s goals and that we are a strong match for one another.

Most of my students have been sophomores through seniors preparing for the MCAT, although I have also worked successfully with motivated freshmen. I use research-based study methods to improve recall, test performance, and confidence. While I began with in-person tutoring, over the past four years I have worked extensively with students online through Zoom, helping them achieve excellent outcomes regardless of location. Teaching is truly my passion, and I am excited to share that energy and experience with students on the Wyzant platform.
