I have 2 boys aged 6.5 and 3.75 and we have been very keen to teach them Hindi because it is their mother tongue. My objectives were to get my kids to understand key Hindi words, structure of the language and gain an appreciation for how it's spoken with the ultimate desire that we all converse in Hindi at home. From the introductory session, Raushni dived into the material and assimilated with the kids.
The Hindi textbook and workbook that I purchased didn't start with a discussion on the Hindi alphabet. Ritu, knowing of my concern, started the session by reviewing the alphabet. She also taught me how to write in the Hindi script and corrected me immediately when I erred. I was also given homework so I could retain what I've learned. I'm looking forward to the next lesson.

I came to Devyani 7 months ago, having zero experience learning a second language. Since starting lessons with Devyani, she has exceeded my expectations in a short period in time, having gained comfortable grasp on the basics of conversational Hindi. I am no longer the token ‘gori’ (white girl) in the room, as I am able to talk to strangers in Hindi on the general conversational topics (family, work, basic info, holidays & FOOD) that we have gone over during our lessons.
