This means he can suggest nuance and correct register for Hindi. He comes with flexibility in that he's willing to accommodate a student's learning style. In my case, I was very directive (pushy, assertive, call it what you will) and I met no conflict. He understands the grammar of Hindi, not always the case with native speakers.
