About Marilee:

I am a Research Specialist at the University of Illinois School of Public Health involved with the Chicago Health Environmental Exposure and Recreation Study as a research specialist and water sampler. In addition I manage the daily activities of students enrolled in allied health programs by preparing students for externships, create resumes, offer career preparation workshops, and assist in job searches prior to graduation. This includes identifying and securing externship partnerships with hospitals, assisted living sites, clinics, and private medical offices. My background includes 14 years teaching ESL as well as senior consultant and director for educational programs. With my unique combination of experiences, I believe I can make a positive contribution to students. My teaching style begins with a discovery of the student's learning style and then I develop curriculum to fit not only the learning style of the student but train the student to learn using other learning styles.
