1 Sphere lesson
He had problems with proportions, shaping and shading, which are fundamental skills in art. Unfortunately, teachers always give simple objects like sphere and pyramid to practice still life in pencil and charcoal, but they never transition to more complicated objects like scissors, birds, skull, bones, hoping that the student will figure it out. I asked Ryan to help my son with those skills and I cannot be more happy. Dennis loved his lessons with Ryan. He told me that Ryan is the best art teacher he ever had.
She is a business professional and does an amazing job at delivering an encouraging learning experience, for my son. 1/8/2014: Tonight was my son's final lesson with Carole before his SSAT, which will be in two days. We feel so fortunate that we had Carole and my son is feeling a lot more confident in his ability to perform well in the exam. couldn't ask for a better tutor!! She genuinely cares about her students and is truly committed and encouraging!!
There was a good deal of interaction which I was comfortable with. I think we can all remember classes where the teacher stood and lectured for the whole period - Malone is not like that. We discussed the concepts of line, shapes, movement, etc. All in all this was the most enjoyable and educational art class I have ever taken. I look forward future classes. He has put a charge in me that had been lacking for years. I would recommend Malone to anyone who wants to be a better artist.
