The Reproductive Biology of Maine's Blueberry

Research conducted over a 7 year period in 'downeast' Maine where the largest production of lowbush blueberry is found. What is described here is the field component of the yield and pollination biology of lowbush blueberry by experiments in which pollen is collected and applied (fertilization) to other plants (crosses) to determine if early, middle, or later bloomers are different in their self-fertility rates.
