Honestly, I have found that students have a combination of learning styles and many come into an art class thinking they have one particular way they are most comfortable with understanding and, because of the nature of the creative experience actually discover value in another way. I am accustomed to teaching classes of as many as 35 students at one time and I have to provide information that speaks to every one of them. In addition to getting to know each student's learning style and creative process (way of approaching and way of thinking creatively) through conversation and observation, I provide references for each style in every lesson; demonstration, visual examples, agendas/lists of steps, and lecture (brief).
