If you use the Title field for Wiki articles (in addition to the actual file name), you won't be able to use special characters (&, %, *, $, for example) in the Title of a Wiki article. The article will appear properly, but every time someone tries to access it, a blank message box will appear (not very professional looking!). If this occurs, just remove any non-text characters from the Title field and save again.
If you want to draw a perfect circle, square, triangle, etc., there's a keyboard shortcut that makes it easy!
Navigate to the Microsoft Office application you want to use - we'll use PowerPoint for this example.
On the Insert ribbon, click Shapes, then click on the shape you want ("oval," for example).
If you're using an Office 2003 or earlier application, use the Insert menu.
Click on the slide and hold down the mouse button.
Press SHIFT and then drag the mouse down and to the right.
When the shape is as large as you want it, release the mouse button.
If you want to draw an oval or rectangle (as opposed to a perfect circle or perfect square), just don't hold down the SHIFT key when dragging.
This works for 2-dimensional shapes, like circles, squares, triangles, stars, trapezoids, etc. (as opposed to lines, which are 1-dimensional).
Sometimes you need to repeat the data or formula from just one cell, and you don't want to bother with copy and paste.
You can quickly copy the contents of a cell to the cell just below it:
Click in the cell just below the cell you want to copy
Press CTRL + ' (apostrophe)

Sometimes it's easier to use the keyboard to change to a different worksheet, especially when you're already typing data or formulas into the sheet.
To switch to a worksheet to the right of the current sheet, press CTRL+PAGE DOWN (hold down CTRL and tap PAGE DOWN until the appropriate worksheet appears).
To switch to a worksheet to the left of the current sheet, press CTRL+PAGE UP.

As you are going through your slide deck, you may want to see what a particular slide looks like in Slide View. Here's a quick way to do that:
While looking at the slide in Normal view, press SHIFT+F5
F5 is a "function key," and you will find the function keys at the top of your keyboard. If you're using a laptop or a Mac keyboard, you may need to press an additional key to get access to the function keys.
Alternatively, you can follow these steps:
While looking at the slide in Normal view, click the Slide Show ribbon tab
On the Slide Show ribbon, click From Current Slide (this command button is at the left side of the ribbon)
If you want to quickly select (highlight) all of the contiguous (continuous) data in your spreadsheet (such as a table of information), follow these steps:
- Click anywhere within the contiguous data
- Press CTRL+A
If there are rows or columns within your data that are completely blank, the highlighted selection will stop at those "borders." If you want to select the entire spreadsheet, including any blank rows or columns, press CTRL+A+A (in other words, press CTRL+A, then while continuing to hold down CTRL, press "A" again).
Alternatively, you can click on the button in the top left corner of the sheet to select the entire sheet. This button is located at the intersection of the row and column headings, just to the left of the column A button and just above the row 1 button.
