What is Illustrator? A vector program using to create graphics which are scalable without loss of resolution. A vector program differs from a raster/bitmap program (such as photoshop), in that vector graphics can be resized without looking pixelated because they are based on algorithms. A raster program creates graphics which are made out of pixels, thus they appear pixelated when enlarged.
