If the lesson needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, please inform me through Wyzant messaging atleast 24 hours before the lesson begins. A no-show is a student who is more than 15 minutes late. For no-show students, a cancellation fee equal to the full amount of the lesson will be assessed. If the student is going to be late to the lesson, please feel free to inform me that way I do not consider the student to be a no-show and therefore continue with the cancellation fee.

Helping others develop enthusiasm for learning as well as content-based understanding is my motivation. I am glad to be of service. I also rely on tutoring income to help meet my responsibilities. For that reason, I believe it is important to have policies around scheduling and cancellations. Scheduling I schedule students on a first-come, first-served basis, and, normally, I have students who choose to keep a regular appointment or two each week. Scheduling A regular schedule is the most successful structure for tutoring, and I offer discounts for sessions scheduled on a regular basis (see Session Fees).  I also tutor individuals who want single sessions, have irregular schedules, need immediate help, or simply are not sure.   I try to be as flexible as possible, and am usually able to stay longer than scheduled if needed. I will not charge for up to 15 minutes extra if it was not previously arranged. 24 hour minimum notice is required to avoid a cancellation fee. Notice may be provided by call, text, or message/email.   Cancellation fees are as follows:  - If the Client cancels at least 24 hours in advance, no fee will be charged  - If the Client cancels between 6 to 24 hours in advance, 50% of the scheduled session will be charged  - If the Client cancels less than 6 hours in advance, 100% of the scheduled session will be charged   Example: Client has a 2-hour session scheduled to start at 6:00pm. If Client cancels at 10:00am that morning, giving only 8 hours notice, Client will be charged for 1 hour. If Client cancels at 4:00pm, giving only 2 hours notice, Client will be charged for 2 hours.    

Tutoring Rates My rates are 100% negotiable. At my sole discretion, I may elect to modify my standard rates based on factors such as frequency, duration, online vs in-person, group rates, etc. Billing begins at the scheduled session start time (or earlier if the session starts early). This means that time spent waiting for a late student is billed as part of the session duration. For in-person lessons, two-way travel time over a total of 30 minutes is billed as part of the session duration measured by the average travel time from my residence to the meeting location. To mitigate costs of travel, I suggest sessions be longer rather than shorter, or sessions be held online to eliminate traveling costs altogether. To all prospective/current clients and students: -For cancellations made within 24 hours of any scheduled tutoring session, I will assess a cancellation fee of 1/2 of the lesson rate. -For students who do not show up or if you show up more than 15 minutes late to a scheduled session, my full rate will be charged. On the same token, I am applied to the same rules of conduct: -If I am more than 15 minutes late to a scheduled session, then student is charged 50% of lesson or if possible make up time after. -If I missed a scheduled lesson, then your next scheduled lesson is completely free.
