Pick a topic, any topic...a hobby, special interest, someone you admire, even lyrics to your favorite song. Now you have an 30 minutes to outline what you want to write. Remember that when you write think positive and clear, it can be overwhelming but how well you do is all in your attitude.
We all get nervous and scared but free writing and keeping track of how long you write is practicing. I kept a journal and wrote down various events that would occurred while on my first deployment in 2005 on the USS Nimitz and I still have that same journal to this day. Looking back and when I look back on my daily entries, I find myself proof reading and discovering my mistakes. So I correct them, eventually that journal will someday be published.
