Bringing Back the Personal Touch

Many job sites are great and they ask for specific qualities when applying for a job. I have found that the impersonal format makes applicants different only in their certifications, degrees and references. I hope that the personal touch will return to job applications. It could save employers the problems that arise after realizing that there is a real human being behind all the data. We must deal with the online applications but a first impression in person and a hard copy of a resume and some human interaction can surpass a great cover letter. This is missing with the sorting of online applications, I believe.
