An application I found that was most helpful in geometry is geogebra.org. Geogebra allow a student to skip some of the pen and paper techniques that occur in geometry and use the computer to draw perfect circles. It makes perfect chords and tangent lines. You can define lots of things their it can even factor your polynomial for the student. It is a free online source but you have to learn how to use it to achieve some of the benefits.
For completing homework what I do is take a screenshot using Jing or Microsoft's snipping tool to paste the pictures to a word document and then print that page. It is also helpful in using it to graph the equations of lines.
