Anticipate an increase in the cost to take the General Education Development (G.E.D.) high school equivalency exam to $120.00 per test. The new Pearson G.E.D. will also no longer be pencil-and-paper, but rather a computer-based test. At least forty states are looking for a less expensive high school equivalency exam, and already two commercial testing and assessment companies are marketing their version of a G.E.D. replacement test.
