My daughter was frustrated that she could not read her homework or the books that she got from the school library. Her confidence was low and she did not want to go to school a lot of the time. After her first session with Rob Aitken she was so excited and could not wait to go back to meet with him again and "learn to read." She has shown constant progress and her confidence has increased. While she still has a lot to learn, Rob has done an amazing job with her. He makes learning fun and he is so enthusiastic about what he is doing. He is well prepared and always has time to listen to our concerns while he explains his approach and lesson plan. He helps us understand how to work with our daughter to encourage and help her as she improves her reading skills. We are so appreciative of all of Rob's hard work and are so happy to have him helping our daughter. He is an outstanding educator.

My second grade son has been struggling with reading for a while. In January, he started to shut down and did not want to read at all. We were referred to Robert Aitken. He has been working with my son for only a few weeks and we have seen a huge change in him. Robert not only worked with Bobby but he taught us how to get him interested again in reading. He was able to make a huge impact, quickly, I believe, by recognizing that we were expecting Bobby to read at a higher skill level than his capability. Once we learned to identify books at his reading level, he likes to read and is building his self confidence in his skills as he is learning. We so appreciate the work that Robert has done so far and look forward to Bobby's continual progress through his teaching.
