To whom it may concern,
I have been asked to provide a letter of recommendation on behalf of Dr. Kristan “Kris” S. for the position of a tutor. I met Kris when I was an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin and she was a graduate student in the final years of her doctoral program for Neuroscience. I assisted in data collection and analysis for a research project that was included in her dissertation.
I was frequently exposed to procedures involving complex subjects such as anatomy, physiology, statistics, and experiment design. I always had questions, and Kris not only answered them to the best of her knowledge but she was also able to accommodate my personal learning style by providing demonstrations and drawing pictures. I consider her an extremely resourceful and intelligent individual who I still go to when I have questions or need advice.
On a more personal note, she is kind, considerate, down-to-earth, and eager to help out. Her humble approach never made me hesitate to speak up if I did not understand something. I sincerely feel that Kris would make an excellent tutor, and any student would be lucky to receive her instruction and guidance.
