So you or someone you know is taking economics. Sounds boring...
It's not though. Lots of people think that economics are strictly confined to the business world. Not all economist end up working for the Federal Reserve or as financial advisers though. Economics really isn't a science for old folks. In comparison with other social sciences, it's still relatively young and is evolving rapidly. Did you know that you can use economics to determine how long you should optimally go to school for? Whether or not you should move? How many kids you should have? How many fish you should harvest from the hatchery? My guess is that you probably didn't.
If you hate economics, it's probably because you don't realize that you can make pretty much any decision with an economic model and have the safety net of a cool graph to back you up. If you or someone you know is struggling with the subject, try doing some fun, real-world stuff!
I'll be including examples of how you can do this in my future posts. If you can't wait that long, you know how to reach me.
