1 2/3 = 4 with step by step instruction using math roots and fractions

need to have answer algebraically using math roots etc. All the following problems need to use math roots and fractions or can type cuberoot (x) and show raising to the nth power as ^n, like x3 can be typed x^3 and

all need step by step information for understanding of the answers

1). 1^2/3 = 4

2). ^5 sqrt x + 1 = 3

3). 2/3 = 2 - 5x -3 over x-1

It appears some variables may be missing from the equations.  For example:

1^(2/3) = 1  And cannot =4.   Is there an 'x' missing here???  BruceS
