what is the difference between this two polynomials (-3x^3+x^2-2x+1)-(-4x^3+3x-4) and i need to show my work plese help me

The first thing you need to do is distribute the subtraction throughout the second polynomial. By doing this, the signs in front of each number are reversed. After doing this the equation should then look like this:

(-3x^3 +x^2 -2x+1) + 4x^3-3x+4

You then must group together your like numbers. For example -3x^3 and 4x^3 should be put together to form x^3 (-3x^3 + 4x^3). 


4x^3+0x^2-3x+4 (Since there is no "x^2" in this equation it can be replaced by 0)

x^3+x^2-5x+5 is the answer
