Blocks connected by a string have an acceleration of magnitude a=1.1m/s^2. Box 1 weighs 2.2kg and box 2 weighs 1.5kg. They are connected by a string with box 2 off the end of the table.

a- Is the tension in the string greater than, less than, or equal to (1.5kg)(9.8m/s^2)? Explain

b- What is the tension in the string connecting the blocks?

c- What is the force of kinetic friction acting on the upper block?

d- What is the coefficient of kinetic friction between the upper block and the horizontal surface?

I found a and b but I am just stuck on c and d.

a- Less than

b-8.74N (2.2*1.5)/(2.2+1.5)*9.8
