**on friday 703 students went on a field trip to the museum. the students where able to fill 15 buses leaving 13 students to ride a van. how many students were on each bus**

703 students went on the field trip. We want to know how many went on the buses so we can subtract off the students that rode the van. 703-13 = 690. 690 rode buses so to find how many were on each bus, divide 690 by the number of buses. Do that and see how many were on each bus.
