In a mathematics class, half of the students scored 53 With the exception of a few students who scored 71, the remaining students scored 60.

Please help. which is lager mean or median or mode? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, the mode is = 53 because it is the score that occurs most often.
 
The mean is the sum of all the scores divided by the number of scores.  Just for fun, I used ten scores: 53, 53, 53, 53, 53, 60, 60, 60, 71, 71.  I've no idea how many "a few" would be...
 
With the above numbers, the mean is 58.7, and the median is the average of the sum of 53 + 60 = 56.5
 
So in this example, which i made up, The largest value is the mean.  
 
However, there may be a statistical formula for solving this that I don't know.
