help with neutron and nucleus

1.  if a neutron strikes a heavy nucleus
a.  it may deform and stretch the nucleus
b.  the repulsive electrical forces may become much weaker than the strong nuclear force
c.  fusion may occur
d.  all of these
true or false      as a nucleus gets larger, neutrons tend to change into protons and electrons

NUCLEAR FISSION is the generation of energy from nuclei splitting via the bombardment of neutrons. An excellent example of this are nuclear reactors. They utilize this energy generating process by splitting uranium.
I do not believe a neutron has the capability to stretch a nucleus and B doesn't make much sense to me.
NUCLEAR FISSION is not to be confused with NUCLEAR FUSION, which is the combining of two lighter atomic nuclei to form a new heavier nuclei.
