50 slices divided by 7 loaves (50/7) equals 7 slices per loaf, with a remainder of 1.  So if Hope cuts seven slices from each loaf, she will have (7 loaves)*(7 slices per loaf) = 49 slices, which is one short of what she needs.

To get exactly 50 slices, Hope would need to cut 7 slices from 6 loaves (7*6=42 slices) and 8 slices from the last loaf to get 50 exactly (42+8 = 50).

If she cuts the same number of slices from each loaf, she will need to cut 8 slices per loaf, yielding 8*7 = 56 slices, so she gets 6 more slices than she needs.

So the correct answer is 8?
8 is the correct answer.  If you must cut all loaves the same, it is the smallest number that gives at least 50 slices.

The question as stated did ask for the fewest number of slices needed from each loaf.
There are multiple choices, is it asking the user to identify all possible answers?

If they are cut into 6 slices there are 42 total slices, too few
if they are cut into 7 slices there are 49 total slices. too few

if they are cut into 8 slices there are 56 total slices, so this is a good choice, with 6 slices left over
if they are cut into 9 slices there are 63 total slices, so this is a good choice, with 13 slices left over
if they are cut into 10 slices there are 70 total slices, so this is a good choice, with 20 slices left over
