In what ways specifically are the female characters alike? Use specific examples from the stories to show their similar actions, reactions, inner dialogue, & feelings to show their similarities & how this translates to how they feel about their husbands. Use examples from the setting (especially those that reflect the late 19th/early 20th century) & other motifs that are common between the 2 works. Make note that the question says the "...time reflected some women's feelings...", so who didn't feel this oppression?
