Good evening! If you assume the car's toll is "X", then the trailer would be 0.5X. The car and trailer would be X + 0.5X, or a total of 1.5X.

1.5X = $1.05

Divide both sides by 1.5

1.5X/1.5 = $1.05/1.5

X= $0.70

So the car is 70 cents and the trailer (half the price) would be 35 cents.

Hope this helps
